Boys will be awarded this award for every year they spend in the Boy’s Brigade, up to 15 years which is the maximum amount of time someone can be a boy in the Boy’s Brigade for becoming an officer/

Your higher awards are worn on the Left Armband as shown here. The badge in the middle is the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award.

Company Section: Main Armband

With the badges on this armband, the highest available award is worn in place as shown. For example if you have the Discover Skills Badge at Level 3 then you would only wear the Level 3 Badge and not the Level 1 and 2 badges. If you were a member of Anchor Boys’ and the Junior Section then the highest award you achieved is worn to either side of the Service Badge.

The object of the Boys Brigade is: "The advancement of Christ's kingdom among boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect, and all that tends towards a true Christian manliness"
